Hi! I’m Becca and I am the Care Co-Ordinator for Harrogate & Knaresborough branch in North Yorkshire.

I studied health & social care in school, then joined the British Army at the age of 16 to become a Combat Medical Technician and ended up walking through the barrack gates as part of the Royal Artillery Regiment instead! Sadly, after a few years’ service i was medically discharged. Adapting from military life to civilian life again was a whirl wind, but the military values still run deep through my blood and mind set. I decided to follow my mother’s footsteps and became a health carer. I have tried a list of jobs in a variety of different sectors but always found myself back in this seat, the care sector! 14 Years later, here i am! I joined The Care & Support Group in 2021 as a carer and was promoted to senior carer at the end of 2021 and then promoted to Care Coordinator in 2023. I thrive knowing I have done everything within my power to ensure the duty of care for not only our clients, but our staff too! I have a variety of skills ranging from working well as an individual, and as part of the multidisciplinary team, these vary from social workers, district nurses, Occupational therapists, and my in-house management team. I have 2 children, Thomas & Lacey-April and a family dog called Rose. My children have made me the woman, mother, sister & daughter i am today. We love to dance and sing around the kitchen and enjoy our annual holidays abroad and long walks, its good for the mind and soul! I believe you never work a day in your life if you love the job you do, what you plant now - you will harvest later. If you are looking at joining the care sector, take the leap! It is so rewarding, and every day is a different day. Be yourself, everyone else is taken.
